The Pilana
The Pilana company traces its history back to 1934, when the production of hand saw blades and circular saws for cutting wood began in the city of Hulin (Czech Republic). Then the production of attachment shaped cutters for wood processing was opened.
From 1948 to 1992, Pilana was a state-owned enterprise, but in 1992 it was transferred back to private ownership. The range of circular wood-cutting saws with carbide plates, circular saws was immediately expanded and the production of frame saws for sawing logs, planing and chopping knives, and metalworking tools was organized.
Today, Pilana a.s. is a dynamically developing group of companies, the staff of which reaches 650 employees, which allows the company to be classified as one of the largest tool manufacturers in Europe. All products are made of the best quality steels that meet international DIN and ISO standards. For high-precision processing, we use modern equipment: lasers, CNC grinding machines, metalworking CNC milling centers, sharpening machines and CNC centers, automatic heat treatment furnaces and other automatic and semi-automatic equipment.
